Export / Import

Some entities in Syncontrol support exporting and importing their configuration as JSON. This allows copying data between environments, duplicating entries, or backing up configurations.

How It Works

Entities that support this feature have Export JSON and Import JSON options in their Save dropdown menu.

Exporting

1. Open the entity you want to export
2. Click on the Save dropdown
3. Select Export JSON
4. Copy the JSON contents

Importing

1. Navigate to the page where you want to import (create new or open existing)
2. Click on the Save dropdown
3. Select Import JSON
4. Paste the JSON contents
5. Save the page

Use Cases

• Copying between environments — Export from staging, import to production
• Duplicating entries — Export an existing configuration, import as a new entry with modifications
• Backup before changes — Export current state before making significant modifications
• Sharing configurations — Share JSON with team members or across organizations
