Product List

Found in: Data > product-list

The Product List is where you manage all your products in one place. You can store product details, connect them with suppliers, factories, and inspections, and keep everything organized. It also lets you create new products, update existing ones, upload files, and make sure each product is ready to be used in bookings and inspections.

Step 1: Log in to your SynControl account and click on “Data” from the top navigation bar, then select “Products List” from the dropdown menu.

Here you can view all the existing products you have created or managed. If no products exist, you will need to create a new one.

The table displays the following information:

2Quantity / Product NameThis column lists the product names (e.g., Work Backpack, Elegant Dress, Vacuum Flask Bottle). The “Quantity” field is also associated but not filled here.
3Product NumberA unique identifier for the product (e.g., A2468, AB1470, VF15928).
4ClientThe client linked to the product (e.g., NONE, TEST).
5PropertiesProduct attributes such as Barcode_No or other reference values.

You can use filters (search fields under each column) to quickly find a product.

Create a New Product

This allows you to set up a new product from scratch. You can define the product details, add measurements, link suppliers, and upload files for use in bookings and inspections.

Step 1: Click on the “New Product” button from the top right corner of the product section (or navigate to Data > Products List > New Product).

Product Info

The Product Info form contains several fields and options. Each of them is described in detail below.

Once you have defined all the required fields, click the “Create Product” button to save.

Once you save the product, it will be stored in the system and can be viewed under the Data > Products List page.

After defining the basic information for your product, the next steps are to manage its details, attach files, and link related elements such as technical folders or bookings. These areas are managed through viewing and managing products.

View & Manage Products

You can view and manage products directly from the product record. From here, you can edit details, delete products, add files, and link the product to other modules such as technical folders or bookings.

Step 1: Click on a product from the Products List table to open it.

Product Files Section

The Product Files section enables you to upload and manage files that are associated with a product. These files are often required for inspections, bookings, and reference purposes.

Supported File Types

  • Images - e.g., product photos, packaging designs.

  • Documents - e.g., specifications, test reports, certificates.

| Note: Files uploaded here are not used for Technical Folders. They are primarily referenced in Bookings and Inspections. | | :—- |

File Management Options

  1. Add File - Upload new files for the product.

  2. Download All Files - Download every file linked to the product in one action.

  3. Delete All Files - Remove all uploaded product files.

  4. Enlarged View - Preview images or documents directly within the interface.

Linking with Technical Folders

Products can be connected to Technical Folders, which are structured collections of documents and instructions related to inspections and compliance.

Go to the Technical Folders tab in the product record and click + Create Technical Folder.

Linking with Bookings

The Bookings tab shows all inspections linked to a product. Here, you can see which inspections are scheduled, check their status, and review any related product files. This helps keep inspections clear and directly connected to the right product.
