To-Do Task
Found in: Planning > ToDo TasksTodo Tasks help you manage and track various operational or administrative activities across your organization. Each task represents a specific action item that needs attention, such as follow-ups, quality checks, report submissions, or any task assigned to a user.
This centralizes all pending and completed activities, allowing you to assign, categorize, and monitor tasks by users, due dates, or completion status. It ensures that nothing falls through the cracks, helping teams stay on schedule and maintain accountability.

Navigation
Step 1: Log in to your Syncontrol account and click on Planning from the top navigation bar.

Step 2: From the dropdown menu, select Todo Tasks.

The Todo Tasks page will open, displaying a table of all existing tasks with their booking references, titles, assigned users, due dates, and completion status.
The Todo Tasks table provides a clear overview of all task entries in the system. Each row represents a specific task, showing who it’s assigned to, when it’s due, and its current status.

| 7 | Actions | Provides options to Edit, Comment, or Complete/Reopen a task. |

Search or Filter Todo Tasks
You can quickly locate specific tasks using the search and filter tools available at the top of the Todo Tasks page.
Step 1: Enter a keyword in the Search field (e.g., part of a task name or assigned user).

Step 2: Click Go to filter the list.

Step 3: Use the dropdown menus to refine your search:
Category: Filter by task type (e.g., urgent, less urgent).
Due Date: Filter based on when tasks are due.
Status: Show only incomplete or completed tasks.
Show: Adjust how many tasks appear per page (e.g., 10, 25, 50).

The list will automatically update to display matching results based on your filters.
Create a New Todo Task
Creating a new to-do task allows you to assign specific responsibilities to team members and track progress efficiently.
Step 1: On the Todo Tasks page, click the Create Todo button located on the right-hand side.

Step 2: The New Todo Task page will open. Fill in the required fields:
Task Name: Enter a clear and concise title for the task (required).
Booking: Select the related booking if applicable.
Type: Choose a task category from the dropdown list (e.g., “Other to-do items (less urgent)”).
Assigned User: Select the user responsible for completing the task.
Due Date: Choose the deadline for the task (date and time are shown in your local timezone).
Description: Optionally, provide more context or instructions about the task.

Step 3: Once you filled all the required fields then, click Save button to create the task.

Once saved, the new task will appear in the Todo Tasks list, visible to both administrators and assigned users.

Manage Existing Todo Tasks
Existing tasks can be easily updated, commented on, marked as complete, or reopened as needed.
Edit or Delete a Task
Editing a task allows you to modify its details, such as name, type, due date, or assigned user. Deleting removes the task permanently.
Step 1: From the Todo Tasks list, locate the task you wish to update or delete.

Step 2: Click the Edit button under the Actions column. The Edit Task page will open, displaying the task’s current details.

Step 3: Update any field as required, for example, change the due date, reassign the user, or edit the task name.
Step 4: Click Save to apply the changes. The task will be updated in the list view.

Step 5 (Optional - Delete): If the task is no longer needed, click the Delete this Task button.
A confirmation message will appear; review it carefully, then confirm to permanently remove the task.

Add Comments
You can add comments to a task for communication or clarification purposes. The comment feature allows users to share updates, clarifications, or instructions related to a specific task. All messages are stored within the same pop-up, ensuring that every discussion stays organized and easily accessible for future reference.

Mark a Task as Complete or Reopen
When a task is finished, it can be marked as Complete. If any additional work or revisions are needed later, the task can be quickly Reopened to make it active again for further updates or completion.
